Here at Betina we are on a journey to discover and then share with our
friends and customers the many natural ways to healthy skin. We are fully committed to
learning and experimenting and then experimenting again until we create the
finest of products that will vitalize and condition the skin in a natural way.
Our story began in 2003 when, after months of intense research, we
handcrafted our first bars of soap. There are several ways of making handmade
soap and we have chosen the cold-process method. In simple language it means
that there is no heat applied to the formula. Heat is naturally generated from
the reaction of the ingredients. The result is a “gelling” of the ingredients
and then hardening into soap.
From the very beginning, we have used oils in our soaps that are infused with
the skin softening and soothing qualities of different herbs such as lavender,
rose, chamomile and calendula to name a few. We welcomed the opportunity to
incorporate into our soaps some wonderful vegetable oils and butters which are
very kind and moisturizing to the skin – olive, sweet almond oil, avocado oil,
macadamia nut oil, wheat germ oil, shea butter, almond butter, mango butter and
many more. Our soaps will glide over your skin and help lay down a protective
barrier against dryness.
Over the last three years we have constantly tweaked and refined our soap
formulas to make them even better (and will continue to do so). And along the
way we have created some wonderful new products as well!
